So you're new to Atlanta and you don't know where to start? Or maybe you've been in Atlanta for a while but you're ready to do some exploring, venture out, discover new vibes! Well you've come to the right place. Below is a snap shot of some of Atlanta's best - from restaurants, hidden gems, nature trails and more - there is definitely something here that will peak your interest and have you falling in love with our beloved city in a forest.
Must Dos
Jackson Street Bridge: to fully understand the Atlanta vibe, you have to come here. No matter what time of day (and especially at sunset) you'll be sure to find aspiring photographers, models and/or rappers showing off their craft with the city skyline and southern skies as their backdrop. You haven't visited Atlanta if you don't stop here.
Martin Luther King's House: A quick 5 min drive away from Jackson Street Bridge is Martin Luther King's home, located in a historic part of Atlanta. All the homes on this street have been preserved, so take a walk down memory lane and pay your respect to Mr. MLK.
Old Fourth-ward Skate Park: continuing your adventure, this ~vibey~ skatepark is about 7 min away from previously mentioned locations. Watch the new generation land tricks while others walk their dogs, or pass by on their mile long bike ride down The Beltline.
The Beltline: By this point, I'm sure you're hot and hungry. Never fear, The Beltline is here. Feel free to explore to the left or to the right of the skatepark (which is now behind you). To the left you'll walk toward Ponce City Market, an Atlanta staple. This iconic industrial warehouse is home to numerous restaurants, shops and office spaces. With amazing outdoor seating and rooftop views, there is plenty of Instagram worthy aesthetic to explore and photograph. If you decide to venture to the right, you'll uncover "the hidden side of the Beltline." A beautiful row of restaurants, shops and a speak easy bar or two, this hidden gem is definitely a fun find!
